The Apple Watch has been the leader of smartwatches in the past couple of years. It has been in the mainstream and continues to be on that spot but not until today or maybe.
Samsung have just released a new addition to their line-up of smart watches, the Galaxy Watch Active2. This smartwatch by footprint has a bigger customizable screen with a fresh new look.
Design
I may say by just looking at it, the watch resembles like that of an Apple Watch, but just rounder. You can get different configurations from Bluetooth or LTE model. It comes in two different sizes, 44mm or 40mm. I also has two finishes, stainless steel or lightweight aluminum. There is a wide range of interchangeable straps for this smart watch just like the Apple’s. The straps are sold separately.
Screen
The screen space of this watch has an uninterrupted view. It’s sleek body is fitted with a touch bezel for quick controls just like the previous generation but this time it is digital. The display is enlarged with a pure black screen with minimal borders for more space.
Experience
Just like their other Active watches, this tracks all your movements based on your workout. It can track seven exercises namely walking, running, cycling, rowing, elliptical training, other workout and swimming.
This device can also track your stress levels when you are feeling tensed. Just follow the guided breathing exercises to get relieved. Heart rate monitor is still present and an ECG capabilities will be launched sooner.
You can stay connected with your contacts, messages and music with the LTE-powered life assistant. You may just leave your phone whenever you need to.
The device can last for a day or more according to Samsung. Charging is also convenient with its magnetic wireless charger to bring it back to full. It is IP68 and 5ATM water and dust resistant with military grade durability. So wherever and whatever the conditions maybe, you can still go further.
Availability
This smart watch will hit the US stores by the 27th of September for a starting price of $279 or Php 15,000 (estimation) in Philippine currency. Availability in the Philippine market will follow that you might want to subscribe to Samsung Philippines for updates.
