Apple have just released the new iPad air and iPad Mini 2019 way ahead their scheduled keynote this March 25 PDT.
iPad Air
Apple have rescaled the size of the new iPad Air to 10.5 inches retina which now shares the same footprint with the previous iPad Pro 10.5 inches from 2017. It is thin and light as it only measures 6.1mm in thickness. Apple have listed in their official website that it can last for about 10 hours of usage in a single charge.
Wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi and LTE) have been improved as well making you connect to the internet effortlessly. They have also added eSIM support just like the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max.
It shares the same A12 Bionic chip with Neural Engine just like the new iPhones. Now you can experience real-time machine learning capabilities that will add a great impact in gaming, productivity, and more.
The screen also shares the same features with the previous iPad Pro 10.5 inches. It now comes with True Tone, high brightness and an antireflective coating. So whatever the light conditions maybe you can still enjoy the best viewing experience.
The camera of the new iPad Air features the same camera like the previous non-Pro models that carries 8MP. It also has the Apple Pencil and a proprietary smart keyboard support.
iPad Mini
Well, this actually stirs my excitement. This little one has been updated and is now more powerful than the previous minis. It basically house the same features as the new iPad Air in a small form factor.
The size of the iPad Mini stays at 7.9 inches in Retina Display with True Tone. How about that? It has Apple Pencil support and other similar features with that of the new iPad Air. It is not listed in the Apple’s website about the smart keyboard support.
Both models are being offered in silver, gold and space gray with 64GB and 256GB internal storage options.
The Prices
The new iPad Air starts from Php 29,990 while the iPad Mini starts from Php 23,990. It is not currently available in-stores in the Philippines but are available for pre-orders. It will basically be available in stores on March 25 during their keynote or find it delivered at your doorsteps on March 29.
